By Train - Commuter Rail and Amtrak

The Commuter Rail consists of Amtrak trains which function as part of the "T." It is sometimes called the Purple Line for the color of its trains. To get to the Laboratory of Comptuter Science (LCS) by Commuter Rail or by regular Amtrak service from another city, take a train to either North Station or South Station and then either walk or take the subway.

From North Station: Walk southwest on Causeway Street. When Causeway Street ends, continue slightly left (south) on Staniford Street.

From South Station: Take the Red Line towards Alewife. Get off at the "Charles/MGH" station. Walk east on Cambridge Street, and turn left (north) on Staniford Street.
